Training
While many historic preservation projects require the services of fully qualified experts, there are many ways in which members of the public can assist in the study, survey, promotion, and protection of significant sites. This not only provides an understanding of the processes and techniques involved but also offers much needed assistance, garners support for the program, promotes inclusivity, and can benefit a project by working with members of the community who have local knowledge.
Histórica can provide needs-based training to municipal employees, members of non-profit organizations, students, and members of the public in areas such as the creation of a historic preservation program, historic site survey, completion of Florida Master Site forms, and historic and cultural site research.
